THE South West Heritage Trust - who manage the Museum of Somerset - are launching a series of lockdown lectures for history fans.
These lectures, which can be watched via Zoom, will run throughout February and March.
Focusing on a range of topics, including literature and landscape from the Romans to the Regency, South West Heritage Trust have gathered a range of speakers.
The programme begins with a talk by writer and poet James Crowden, who has produced a literary roadmap of Somerset covering more than 300 writers.
Journalist Martin Hesp will present an evening of entertaining and uplifting stories about Somerset’s diverse landscapes.
Professor Stephen Rippon is a Landscape Archaeologist at the University of Exeter. He will discuss the South West in the Roman period.
Historian and author Dr Ian Mortimer offers a chance to engage with the sights, sounds, smells and experiences of Regency Britain.
