EXHIBITORS and visitors enjoyed the brilliant weather at Bishops Lydeard Flower Show in the village hall yesterday (Saturday, July 9).
The guest of honour was Lady Skelmersdale, who presented the prizes to the winners.
She has run bulb specialists Broadleigh Gardens, in Bishop's Hull, for many years.
She has been passionate gardener since childhood and has exhibited extensively at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show.
A spokesperson for the show said: "The quality of the exhibits was high, and five awards of merit certificates were for outstanding entries for vase of dahlias, iced chocolate cake, recycled object, photograph entitled ‘Water’ and fruit jelly.
"The event was very well attended, and visitors enjoyed the chance to visit the pop-up café for refreshments."
Arrangements are already underway for next year's show, which will take place in July 2023.
