A FULL blown Wellington Flower Show returned on Saturday (August 27) following last year's scaled down version and the cancellation in 2020.

Despite a challenging growing season, there was an excellent number of quality entries in all classes and plenty of visitors at the event at Wellington School.

Regular exhibitors from Wellington and surrounding villages, as well as from Devon were joined by a number of new exhibitors across all classes.

Visitors were able to enjoy refreshments, while Oake-based Ford Nursery did a roaring trade, supplying quality plants.

Also present were Somerset Wildlife Trust, Wellington Museum Society, Majesticare and the two Wellington doctors’ surgeries.

Prizes and trophies were presented by Vivienne Stock-Williams.

The spring show has been pencilled in for April 1.
