HYGIENE ratings have been awarded to two of Somerset’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website.

Smoulder & Scorch Ltd, at 60 High Street, Street was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 5. Smoulder & Scotch specialises in style BBQ to any location be ir a field, village hall, at home, all they need is just need 3x3m of space for a van and access to water to operate.

Another restaurant is Efes, at 53 Station Road, Taunton, Somerset was given a score of four on May 11.

Efes is a Mediterranean, Barbecue, European, Turkish, Middle Eastern restaurant offers vegetarian friendly, and gluten free options.

Out of Somerset's 934 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 774 (83%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
