SOMERSET Lawn Tennis Association have presented Wellington Tennis Club with an awayd titled Club of the Year this week.
The Club was was nominated alongside other Somerset clubs but the LTA and its chair Andy Fay, gave the award to Wellington.
Fay presented the award at a gathering earlier this week which included committee members, new members, ‘Super Veterans’ and Monday club night players of Wellington Tennis Club.
Earlier this year, when sharing the news of their nominations for the award, the Somerset LTA said: "This is a strong endorsement of all your hard work in tennis across the county and for which Somerset Lawn Tennis Association thank you most sincerely.
“Without your support, tennis in the county would not be where it is today.”
Wellington Tennis Club is based at the Playing Field and has three floodlit courts.
It is a welcoming place to play tennis and is always on the lookout for new members.
