REMEMBRANCE Sunday November 12) events in Glastonbury and Street were timed so as not to clash.
A parade from the town hall arrived at the war memorial in time for a two-minute silence at the war memorial. at 11am.
It was followed by a service at St John's Church before there was a procession back to the town hall.
Our war dead were honoured in Street in the afternoon to enable people to attend both events if they so wished.
A procession left the Royal British Legion based in Farm Road and visited several memorial spots ahead of a wreath laying ceremony in Merriman Park.
