NORTH Curry Parish Council has been delighted to accept a plaque from Lady Mary Stewart-Wilson to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second.

The plaque was expertly worked by and installed by local stone carver Duncan Varley on the Council owned converted stable which now houses the Parish Office, Hair Salon and Community Coffee Shop.

The photo shows Lady Mary,( second from left)  wife of the late Sir Blair Stewart-Wilson who for thirty-five years was a member of Her Late Majesty’s Household.

To the right of Lady Mary is PC Chairman Tina Stodgell, Vice Chairman Jeanne Leader and sculptor Duncan Varley, flanked by council member Brian Jeanes and Tom Jeanes whose family farmed Town Farm, of which the Stable was a part, from the late 19th century.
