They have recently enrolled on the Linnaeus referral nursing post-registration programme (PRP).

Ms Sharland shared her enthusiasm for the PRP, saying: "This course enables us to build on our experiences within each area and work on tasks that provide invaluable experience."

Meanwhile, Ms Burrough revealed her ambitions post-qualification: "Once I have completed my post-registration programme I would like to rotate throughout the hospital."

Also enrolled on the PRP is Connor Nicholls, who has returned to Cave after a stint in a first opinion practice.

He said: "I am hoping once I have finished the PRP and have gained experience in the many rotations this course may give me, I will have a better idea on the route I want to take,"
