PRINCESS Andre has revealed why she has kept her boyfriend out of the spotlight, despite dating for nearly a year.

The 16-year-old daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre prefers to keep her relationship private, partly in respect to her boyfriend's desire to remain out of the public eye.

She has only shared rare glimpses of her unnamed beau on social media.

Speaking about her decision to OK! Magazine, she said: "I just think being private is good, because I feel like when other people get involved they try and say a lot of things.

"Obviously, my boyfriend’s not in the public eye so I don’t think it’s fair on him to have everyone trying to find out about his business and all of that.

"So, I mean, being private in general is how I like it, I don’t think people should know all about my personal life".

Somerset County Gazette: Princess Andre has gone Instagram official with her new boyfriend

The rising beauty therapist and brand ambassador, who represents brands such as Pretty Little Thing, first revealed her relationship in May on her Instagram.

Princess Andre shared photos of herself and her boyfriend at her mother's 45th birthday party in Brighton.

The post received a flood of congratulatory responses from fans.

The young influencer, who has experienced hate comments on social media, didn't share any further photos of her boyfriend until October.

During an 'ask me anything' session on Instagram, a follower asked about her relationship.

Princess responded with a snapshot of the two in a cosy car setting, saying: "We're really good ty [thank you]".

Later in October, they celebrated their seven-month anniversary.

A picture shared by the boyfriend showed them looking content, sporting Nike trainers.

Ms Andre reposted the picture on her own account with the caption: "Happy 7 months ml [my love]."

Peter Andre, who once jokingly wished his daughter to become a nun, expressed initial trouble dealing with her first relationship.

He is now expecting his fifth child with Taunton-born wife, Emily MacDonagh.

Discussing Peter Andre's protective parenting style, Princess Andre said: "Obviously, my dad is going to be protective over his daughters.

"But now I’m older I kind of understand a bit more about what he’s saying, so it’s not really a problem.

"I’ll always respect what my parents say."
