MORE Public Speaking Successes for the Wellington Based Devon & Somerset Speakers Club.

The January meeting of the Devon & Somerset Speakers club, the first of the new year, was a resounding success, with three more people progressing successfully through another skill development level.

New member Stuart passed his level 1, the Ice Breaker, whilst both Sally and Chris sailed through their level 3T’s, which focus on speech construction.

Public Speaking is a skill best developed over time with practise and instruction.

The Devon & Somerset Speakers club offers a great opportunity for this, using the Association of Speakers Clubs tried and tested ten-step process, which breaks down the skills of public speaking into manageable steps.

The Somerset based club meets once a month, in Wellington, with the aim of giving you a safe environment in which to increase your confidence and skill in public speaking.

The atmosphere is informal yet organised and the structured approach to skill development ensures that everyone keeps improving.

The next meeting of the club is on February 5, at the Cleve Hotel, Wellington, from 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.
