AMONG the Pride of Somerset Youth Award Winners was a 13-year-old from Yeovil who was recognised for his courage in the face of adversity.
Luke Harris, of Fairmead Special School, has cerebral palsy, hearing and learning difficulties and hydrocephalus - but he goes out of his way to put a smile on the face of others.
Back in October he carried out a sponsored cycle ride to raise funds for his school and when he heard his younger brother's football team were in need of a new kit, he raised money for them too.
He even managed to stay positive through the five major brain operations he underwent in 2004.
His nomination said: βHe will always give things a go - and normally succeeds.β
