TAUNTON's Blueflames Amateur Boxing Club held another sell out home show last week at Wellsprings Leisure Centre.

The club hosted 18 bouts, all featuring local boxers to the Taunton area as they took on opponents from across the country.

Kicking off the night was first time boxer Mya Pollard in her first ever skills bout 3 x1.5 minute rounds.

Over the course of the evening there was a mixed bag of results for the home side.

Blueflames had three great stoppages from Jack Thompson, Macey Barret and Pawluv Bhandiri .

These were backed up by unanimous wins from Charlie Miller, Lewis Scutt and Tom Merryfield.

There was also a few split decision wins and some split loses on the evening.

All the boxers trained hard for this and did the club proud as they impressed a large Taunton crowd.

A spokesperson from the club said: "None of this would have been possible without the help of the referees, judges the away clubs and the coaches at Blueflames ABC.

"Our next show is scheduled for January 2024 at the Lawns Social Club and will be a all female event in aid of taking our females squad to Sweden for the Golden Girl Box Cup."
