ENMORE Park Golf Club Senior Section took part in a Turkey Trot competition on Tuesday, writes Richard Walsh.

Despite the very limited course due to the recent heavy rains those who took part enjoyed the opportunity to be outside playing golf.

At the end of the competition the winner with 19 points was Rhys Morgan. Two players returned with 17 points, but after countback it was Steve Darch who was second after edging in front of third placed Tony Seaman.

On Saturday evening 102 guests attended the second annual Champions Dinner that was held in the clubhouse at Enmore Park Golf Club.

The event celebrates the winners from all sections and events across the season with a two course meal followed by the presentation of trophies.

A fantastic evening for the club and topped off with the award of Club Person of the Year which was won by Paul Henson.

Paul has spent many years quietly in the background volunteering for various events and so it was brilliant to acknowledge his tireless efforts.

This was another great night all round.
