The Noah Trophy that took place at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club earlier this week raised £220 for the Club Captain’s charity for Adult Autism.

The winners of the competition were Alan Vickery, Bob McWillians and Laurie Jeffrey, second place went to the trio of Russel Symons, James Davies and John Attree, while third place was claimed by David Parker, Allen Itter and Bryan Ahern.

Most importantly, as far as the others taking part were concerned was that  last place with the honour of organising next year’s extravaganza, was taken by Chris Doyle, John Kirk and David Rigby.

A fabulous Christmas carvery and Carolling singalong followed the dinner. Thanks to all who took part and made this such an enjoyable occasion.

On the festive theme Taunton and Pickeridge Ladies held their Christmas Lunch in the Clubhouse on Tuesday when members gathered together to enjoy each others company over some festive fare.

The table entertainment organised by vice captain Emma Smith involved each table identifying past Lady Captains from their photographs as babies, which led to much debate and hilarity.

Next Tuesday the Ladies Section will be taking part in the Christmas Bowmaker - suitably attired!
