IT has been a busy few weeks for Running Forever Running Club with lots of popular local events being hosted.

First up was Ham to Lyme 50K. The race follows the Liberty Trail from Ham Hill Country Park to Lyme Regis.

The route includes the beautiful Wayford Woods, the view from Lambert`s Castle and a lovely downhill finish to Lyme Regis.

The route is based on six villagers who went to join the Monmouth rebellion in 1685.

All club members enjoyed their day out and enjoyed some ice creams when arriving into Lyme Regis.

Three members made their way over to Yeovilton for the latest instalment in their 5km series, and Sarah Capstick won 1st lady in her age category.

Last weekend saw 2 very popular local events the Blackdown Beast and the Piddlewood plod. The Blackdown beast was very popular and many of the runners enjoyed their cream tea at the finish line.

The Piddlewood plod was much muddier this Year compared to previous Years due to the heavy rain, that didn`t stop Jo Carritt coming home first for the club and taking 2nd Female overall.

A really lovely event where students at Thurlbear Primary School hand paint the finishers medals.

Next up was the Pawlett Plod which was only 3 days later but didn`t stop 8 members making the trip, Fintan Murray was first home for the club, followed by Tom Dymott and Lisa Denson.

If you are interested in joining an inclusive club, membership costs either £27.00 a year for EA registered members (this includes the £17 registration fee which is passed directly to EA) or £10.00 a year for non-registered members, and runs from 1st April to 31st March each year.
