THE Ladies at Enmore Park Golf Club are a hardy breed and on Wednesday morning 41 of them left the warmth of the clubhouse and ventured forth to brave the cold weather play in the first competition in 2024.

The Ladies’ individual three clubs and a putter was played over nine holes and at the end it was Suzanne Bromme who was the clear winner with 23 points.

Three points behind were two players on 20 points but after countback it was Nanette Moore who claimed second place just pipping Elizabeth Ratcliffe.

After the long spell of wet weather Saturday golf made a very welcome return at Enmore Park when they hosted an Optional Pro Shop Stableford competition that was played over 18 holes.

At the end of the round two players tied for the lead on 35 points, but after countback it was Adrian Tew who was the winner edging ahead of second placed Mark Chapman.

It was even more difficult to sort out the placings when five returned to the clubhouse on 32 points, meaning that countback once again came into force. After this it was Tom Chedzoy who was third, Bill Boulter was fourth, Ryan Brewer fifth, Craig Wright sixth and Sean Jones was seventh.
