The Bishops Lydeard Girls ran away with the Somerset U13 Girls league this weekend after a closely contested game against Ilminster.
Their nearest rivals, Wellington, sit 16 points behind them and with their season reaching its climax, with only two games to go, it is all over.
Captain Pip Stephens hit her 30th, 31st and 32nd goals on the day and looks set to be top scorer, across all of the girls age ranges in the league, for the second season in a row.
The Lydeard U13 Girls manager said: “It’s been a season full of high spirits, fun, and hard work as the team have matured from our league cup winning season last year into a supportive and cohesive group of players.
"They’ve all pulled together to celebrate their highlights and support each other through the more difficult times - a brilliant group of players to coach.”
The team play Middlezoy at home this Saturday and new supporters are always welcome at the friendly club.
